Description:

Built in 1864, Schenectady is a 4-4-0 locomotive originally built for the U.S.M.R.R, serving the final years of the civil war, before being sold to the Union Pacific until the early 1880’s, it was then sold to the, at the time new, Newbury Cove & Fullerton Railroad, and became its first engine. The locomotive was converted to burn coal, and began receiving more luxurious fittings. It pulled high-rate passenger trains until the early years of the 1900’s, when the N.C & F.R.R closed. Schenectady was then sold off for scrapping, and sadly does not survive into the modern day.
