Updated Food Recipes – Jaggid’s FM add-on
This is a forked version of Jaggid’s Family Meals mod that is supported by Updated Food Recipes.
Make sure to disable the original if using Updated Food Recipes and this mod!
The original version of the mod uses recipe objects that duplicate vanilla ones that thus prevent property changes from applying. This one removes those and bakes in my ingredient changes to his non-vanilla items. And, since I’m already in here and tinkering, I made some of my own changes and improvements.
Changes from the original mod:
- Minor changes to description texts.
- Cooking times on family meals scaled to take 3x longer.
- Base recipes all produce 2 meals, excluding animal food. Batch limit of 5.
- Family recipes all produce 5 meals with ingredients scaled accordingly. Batch limit of 5.
- All quick recipes give low exp, all tasty give normal exp, all chef’s give high exp.
- Changed Fruit Salad to Fruit Bowl.
- Added a unique icon for Salad.
- Adjusted open/sheltered decay rates for salad, fruit bowls, and mulligan stew. Salads and fruit bowls only last one day uncovered and two covered now. Mulligan stew lasts two and four respectively.
- Added Dressed Salad recipe as a tasty meal. Uses existing salads so it’s quicker to prepare.
- Removed the separate "slow roasted" variants of the stews as they’re largely redundant to the family size variants.
- Removed the redundant mushroom soup recipe that duplicates the one found in Justin Crause’s Recipe Pack mod. Family recipe here will only appear if you have that mod, which you should. 🙂
- Removed the incomplete Carnivore Delights recipe, which produced the same Carnivore Food resource and had references to vegetables.
- Increased the Carnivore/Herbivore food happiness bonus from +6 to +12. Will be especially handy when playing Enemies Evolve to give them a happiness boost and trigger breeding.
- Fixed the missing Animal Taming prequisite in Carnivore Food.
- Added Alba friendly recipe variants using seeds instead of grain. Will only appear on Alba.
- Modified the Monster Spaghetti story bit unlock to support Alba and seeds.
- Backend reorganization.
