TwisTonFire – Dude, Where Is My Car?
“Dude! Where is My Car?” drops a car icon on the world map when you exit a tracked vehicle and removes it when you get back in.
You need a pen to place marks and an eraser to remove/update them.
Toggle tracking from the radial menu holding (V) while in or near a vehicle.
I highly recommend my minimap mod, that you can see what you’re doing
TwisTonFire – minimap
- Smart auto-marking: exits place a map icon for the vehicle you just left; re-entering that same vehicle removes its icon.
- Per-vehicle tracking: you can track multiple cars at once.
- Each car keeps its own mark—no cross-deletes, even if vehicles are parked close together.
- One icon per car: the mod prevents “stacking” new marks over an existing ones.
- Press and hold V to open the vehicle radial menu and choose “Track / Stop Tracking”.
- Compact small icons; uses distinct symbols for Passenger, Pickup, Truck, and Van.
- Follows vanilla rules (pen required to draw; eraser required to remove).
- Choose your prefered colour, choose even your size of the icon.

Do you ever have the same problem—forgetting where you parked? Maybe last night got a little out of hand and the details are fuzzy. No worries! I’m the same way—I’m always losing track of where my car is. But that ends now. I’ll never wonder where I parked again!

How do I start tracking a car?
Press and hold V in or near a vehicle and pick “Track This Vehicle.” Press V again to “Stop Tracking.”
Do I need any items?
Yes. A pen to place a mark when you exit, and an eraser to remove or update that mark when you re-enter.
What if I have no pen?
The character will say they can’t mark the car. No mark is placed.
What if I have no eraser?
The mark won’t be removed or updated. The character will say they need an eraser.
Can I track multiple cars?
Yes. Each tracked car manages its own mark. Re-entering Car A only removes Car A’s mark, not Car B’s.
What about colors?
Marks use a practical color based on the pen you’re carrying (e.g., red/blue/green/black; pencil gives gray).
A simple favorites color option is planned.
Does it work with existing maps and UI?
Yes. It uses the vanilla map and its normal rules for adding/removing symbols.
Performance / conflicts?
Very lightweight. It doesn’t override vanilla files—just listens for enter/exit events and adds a single radial-menu option. Should play well with most mods.
Uninstall?
Safest is to disable the mod after removing tracked marks (get in each car with an eraser). Then quit and disable it.

You support helps me keep going, thank you very much in advance!

This mod is primarily client-side, so it should work fine in multiplayer.
I’m not aware of any issues that would cause conflicts or problems on servers.
