TwisTonFire – QoL Modpack
This is a personal quality-of-life modpack: small, targeted tweaks that make everyday play smoother without changing core gameplay.
This is a modpack. Please don’t use other mods that overlap with features included here.
Most error reports I get are caused by duplicate mods running alongside this pack.
Here’s what’s covered:

- MAIN MENU:
- Fix: Vanilla Mod Options in MainOptions.lua
- Advanced Volume Enabler
- Reset Lua Button (no Debug Mode needed)
- Improved Sound Options
- Optional: Disable Music & Ambient Sound in the Main Menu
TIMED ACTIONS:
- Equip Clothing While Moving — equip clothing while walking
- Disable Alarm Watches — auto-disables alarms when looting corpses (during transfers)
- Optional: Washing preserves makeup (intentionally disabled in multiplayer)
- Generator repair is now one consolidated action
- Vehicle fuel actions (take/add) with a can: required items (hose/can) are returned to the original container, and your previous weapon is re-equipped
- Vehicle exiting: immediate control on exit — no input delay, and your character faces away from the car (prevents accidental bumps)
- Gas pump refueling: no more pinning/stuck animations — moving cancels instantly, and you can look around freely
- Fix: Vanilla ISDismantleAction.lua so you can cancel the animation when needed
- Campfire “All that can fit” fix: only uses the exact number of items needed (no whole-stack weight fails)
- More reliable fuel adding: items already in your inventory are used first, so the action can still succeed if later transfers fail
- Campfire speed tweak: fuel add actions run ~50% faster
SERVER / LOGIC:
- Vehicles: allow battery removal while the engine is running (requires Mechanics 3+)
- No Window Misclicks — left-clicking windows won’t cause vaulting
- Ground Limit Removed — drop unlimited items on the ground
- Aiming Mode: left-click can pass through UI elements (fewer accidental clicks)
- Optional: Campfire max fuel override — 6h to 24h (intentionally disabled in multiplayer)
INDEPENDENT STUFF:
- Optional: Player Speech Color Changer
- Daily Kill Count — track your zombie kills per day
CONTEXT MENU:
- Smart Drink — quench thirst and take tiny sips from any bottle
- Always Show “Drink” — the option is always visible
- Consistent Menu Order — Eat/Drink Now always stays at the bottom of the inventory context menu
- Multiple Alarms — set spaced alarms across multiple watches (great for distractions)
- Re-enabled barricade/unbarricade on windows
- Added icons for common actions (don’t use other context-menu icon mods)
- NEW: Better Wash option is back in the QoL mod
INVENTORY:
- Optional: Name on Inventory — shows your character name on your inventory container
- Optional: Reorder Player Containers
FORAGING:
- Optional: Better Foraging — no ground world icons; won’t interrupt while running

Make the following change:

This pack is designed to play nicely with most mods. Many features are toggleable in Mod Options.
If another mod edits the same area (e.g., inventory bar name, container order), just turn off that option here.
Two popular mods that may overlap are CleanUI and Reorder Containers — simply disable the matching option in this pack and you’re set.
If you find other conflicts, let me know and I’ll add an in-game warning for players.

Why did you choose to create a modpack instead of releasing every single change as a standalone Workshop mod?
Simple: many of these micro-tweaks aren’t really “mods” on their own — some are literally a single line of code that makes something work 100% better. I also don’t want to keep toggling a billion tiny things on and off in my mod list. The small tweaks in this pack are part of my setup 100% of the time, and I don’t want to play without them anymore — they’ve become essential. And I fully expect to keep expanding this pack over time.
So: yes to my personally tailored modpack; no to a billion tiny one-liner mods.

This mod only patches existing vanilla client and server logic — it doesn’t add any new systems.
It should work without issues in multiplayer.
Small heads-up: Multiplayer isn’t my focus in Project Zomboid. My top priority will always be singleplayer.
