[REQUEST] F4U CORSAIR
The Vought F4U Corsair was one of the most iconic and capable carrier-based fighters of the Pacific Theater. Known for its distinctive gull wing design, powerful engine, and heavy armament, the Corsair excelled in both air combat and ground attack roles.
- Fighter Variant (MG only)
Pure air-superiority version, focused entirely on dogfighting. - Fighter-Bomber Variant (HVAR Rockets)
Optimized for ground attack using high-velocity aircraft rockets. - Bomber Variant (Conventional Bombs)
Uses standard bomber AI behavior with normal bombing sight. - Dive Bomber Variant (Rocket-Based Bombs)
Designed for dive bombing, AI treats payload similar to rockets for more consistent attacks.
- 6 × 0.50 in (12.7 mm) M2 Browning machine guns
- 8 × 5-inch HVAR rockets (HVAR variant)
- 2 × 1,000 lb GP bombs (mounted bomber variant)
- 2 × Napalm bombs (mounted bomber variant)
- Rocket-based bomb payload (dive bomber variant)
Designed to outperform my F4F Wildcat and F6F Hellcat on request.
Important note about AI behavior:
Ravenfield’s AI has certain limitations that cannot be fully controlled. To work within these constraints, each Corsair variant has been carefully tuned with:
- Adjusted weapon priority
- Balanced reload times
