Description:

The Sword Scion is a legally distinct hero-like unit with a high risk high reward playstyle. Dive into the fray to generate focus points and unlock different ways to use it. Recruiting this class happens via a covert action available from the beginning but be careful as you will only have the ability to recruit 1.

The class is very vulnerable with almost no way to recover after diving in. They can Parry the first strike made against them but good luck after that.

With the class comes a new weapon, the Power Blade. They "needed" to be created in order to bring the fantasy of the class to life but I took the opportunity to skin them as lightsabers because why not.
The weapon comes in all 5 tiers available in the TedJam environment and requires Psionics* research as well as the normal weapon research for each tier.

*Laser tier does not require Psionics research

The class gains slightly more than normal AP each promotion to help with taking some of the bottom row pistol perks.

The class and weapon are highly configurable so tweak to your heart’s content.

There is also a GTS unlock to help gain focus a bit faster as the mid tier+ weapons also grant a higher focus pool.

Talent Trees

-At squaddie you start with a long list of abilities to get things going.
For starters you get a custom Power Blade as your primary weapon and a pistol or autopistol secondary.

-The Sword Scion can use this with a special slash attack which grants a non-movement momentum action to activate Parry to block the first attack directed towards you.
—This is where the danger comes in. The class revolves around slashing your foes but not being able to run away. Position your Sword Scion well and to keep them healthy.

-The Sword Scion also comes with a pistol secondary with some bottom row perks to help use it on top of a slightly modified pistol row beneath the Unpredictable (XCom) row.

-And finally your first Focus spender is Voltaic Arc. This is similar to Volt with a few differences; It can target robotics, is turn ending, and does not leave Reverberation.

This is the melee and aggression tree. If you want to reliably deal with targets one at a time this is the one for you.

Survivor Tree
This tree has a host of supportive abilities to help your allies as well as perks to help pistol use. Great options if you are wanting to make the Scion an officer.

Advanced Training
This tree is a preset row of additional perks that you can spend AP on to empower a variety of playstyles. Keep an eye out on the normal XCom row below it to see the randomized tree

Disclaimer:

Known issue: Animations aren’t perfect and I’m sorry. That is not something I am knowledgeable about but if I ever learn it I will come back and fix things.

This is intended for use for the TedJam environment but can be used with normal LWOTC with the proper prereqs installed.
