Especially if you are in the United Cities, fresh thinfish is literally gold.

Adds an aquaponics unit at tech level 4, requires Wells III to research. Costs 2 ancient science books and 2 thinfish to research. 5 building material, 4 iron plates, 2 electrical components and 4 thinfish to build. Requires water, power and a single worker to operate. Can be built in doors.
I recommend the Moisture Farming mod by Trinimac if you want to be able to use this in a city or a place with 0% water
