Description:
«This is not a fan model. This is a file that was never meant to be made public.»

In 2003–2004, during the early development of Counter-Strike: Source, a small team at Turtle Rock Studios created a test model of a terrorist for internal builds. The model was used for only a few weeks—then it was removed from the repository, and all references to it were deleted.

The reason? Officially, it was a “style change.” Unofficially, none of the developers wanted to talk about the file. For almost 20 years, this model existed only in the form of mentions on forums, archived logs, and strange fragments of screenshots from early builds of the Source Engine.

People searched for it on hacked discs, old servers, and SDK dumps — to no avail. And now… The file has been restored. The model has been assembled.

First, Erick_Maksimets contacted a Soviet actor from Donetsk — it was his face that was once used as a reference when creating the original model.
This man had more than just memories: he passed on the name of one of the members of that very development team.

A few weeks later, SoR_Ge met with him in Bulgaria. What they obtained during this meeting was not available on the internet, in archives, or in repositories. The file was stored on a physical medium — an old CD that had not been connected to any system for decades. It was from this disc that the original version of the model was restored.

After that, the materials were handed over to DenDi85, who adapted and prepared the model for full use in Garry’s Mod, keeping its original form as close to the original as possible and make it PM.

But if you’re not stupid, you won’t believe it.
