The Defiance is Stellar Dynamics next generation premiere combat vessel. It strikes a balance between offensive and defensive capabilities. Making it a well rounded vessel capable of engaging nearly all threats the Andromeda galaxy has to offer.
It comes equipped with a robust Advanced Shield Generator boasting a respectable 74k of shield capacity. Should the shields fail, the hull is built using a blend of hardened, combat, and xenosteel armour. With decoys interspersed throughout. Allowing the Defiance to shrug off blows that would threaten other vessels. For offense, the ship is equipped with 4 Main Plasma Batteries. Which are backed by an array of 4 light missile turrets and 4 medium laser turrets. Allowing the Defiance to melt shields and armour alike. Finally, 3 light gatling turrets provide protection from enemy fighters.
For the enterprising captains out there, the Defiance includes space for additional CPU, shield boosters, generators, and turrets. A large shuttle bay enables the transportation of a modest complement of support craft. It comes equipped with five 320k cargo bays and two 320k ammo controllers. It even includes locations for a pair of Advanced Plasma Turbines. Lastly, crew amenities include a fully appointed medical suite, a rifle range, a mess hall, and even a briefing room!
