Jessie Rasberry VoicePack (FFVII Remake)
Chipper. Flirty. Vivacious.
Erica Lindbeck gave a practiced, bold-faced performance as AVALANCHE resistance operative (and aspiring actress) Jessie Rasberry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Jessie’s character is a mix of anime-inspired tropes and fits pretty cleanly into the "Genki girl" bucket, if Genki girls made explosives and plotted to resist technocrats. (I didn’t know Lindbeck was the official voice of *Barbie* until recently, in addition to her long resume voicing English-dubs of anime titles).
To make Jessie fit XCOM a little better, I have avoided wiring up this pack with her girlish giggling and hamfisted ‘performer’ persona and stuck to her combat and guerilla operative snark.
I hope you’ll take my word for it that she is not going to be screaming and sighing in your ear unnecessarily (if you want her to be louder, remember to edit the multiplier in XComVolumeConfig.ini inside the mod’s directory). She should fit into most campaigns, but her enthusiasm and general spunky attitude may still stand out.
This voicepack is drawn from an exhaustive review of all of Jessie’s dialogue and efforts from FF7 Remake. Her flashback dialogue in Rebirth is mostly while soused and is not germaine to this pack.

– NO explicit references to anything related to Final Fantasy VII (with one rare exception, the FrostBomb cue)

– Should work with either Vanilla XCOM 2 or WoTC

Notes: This pack, like Jessie’s character, is well-suited to Specialist / Grenadier / Demolition class archetypes. I have wired up all Long War special abilities (with the exception of Officier abilities), but they are all drawing from a common generic pool. Limited Hero class coverage. Virtually no Psi coverage.
