HatedMekkr’s Workshop: Ronin’s Armor Sets
Hello, Drifters! I mean, Ronins!
Finally, I present you my new mod – Hatedmekkr’s Workshop: Ronin’s Armor Sets.
So far, this is the longest mod I’ve done, as I’ve also worked on the quality by making overlay meshes and trying something new.
This mod adds new types of Ronin armor. A great choice to illustrate the whole idea of a game where you are nobody, and you carry your harsh existence in this cruel world. Just like the Ronin used to do.
My goal was to make models using original meshes and textures, so that it would fit perfectly into the atmosphere and style of the game, and which felt like it could be in a vanilla game.
Headgears:
- Ronin’s Straw Hat; (+ Belt Slot Version)
- Ronin’s Sandogasa. (+ Belt Slot Version)
Bodywears:
- Ronin’s Outfit – Type I; (Simple Version)
- Ronin’s Outfit – Type II; (Improved version with armbands)
- Ronin’s Outfit – Type III; (Reinforced version with armbands and leather plates appeared for better protection)
- Ronin’s Short Outfit – Type I; (Simple Version)
- Ronin’s Short Outfit – Type II; (Improved version with armbands)
There are also variants with wraps on arms.
Legwears:
- Ronin’s Pants – Type I; (Simple Version)
- Ronin’s Pants – Type II; (Reinforced version with armbands and leather plates appeared for better protection)
- Ronin’s Shorts – Type I; (Simple Version)
- Ronin’s Shorts – Type II; (Reinforced version with armbands and leather plates appeared for better protection)
There are also variants with wraps on legs.
Footwears:
- Ronin’s Boots – Type I; (Simple Version)
- Ronin’s Boots – Type II; (Reinforced version with armbands and leather plates appeared for better protection)
- Ronin’s LowBoots – Type I; (Simple Version)
Almost all of the new ronin’s armor has alternative versions [ALT], which are visually different.
Also, all new ronin’s armor has multiple color variants and dyed parts, so you can combine colors and create a unique look.
FUNCTIONALLY, they are practically the same:
- All armor except the reinforced version is made of "stronger fabric" and has decent protection;
- The reinforced versions have leather plates and have protective properties comparable to Ninja Rags and the like.
VISUALLY, gives you more variety of armor in the game.
First of all, to craft a new armor, you need my other mod – Hatedmekkr’s Workshop – Workbenches, etc.K. All the crafting is done through my workbenches so as not to clutter up the vanilla ones.
Simple versions of Ronin’s Armor can be bought at clothing stores in United Cities.
The blueprints are sold in the same place.
Reinforced and more protected versions can be bought at Tech Hunter Armor stores and Sheks.
Blueprints of reinforced versions are also sold there.
Simple armor versions requirements: Clothing Manufacture, Simple Clothing Types, and Hats and Headgear for Ronin’s headgears.
Reinforced armor versions requirements: blueprints of simple armors and Leather Armour Crafting.
Armor blueprints are sold only in the white variation.
After you buy and learn any armor of the white variation, research of all color variations of the same armor will appear in the Research Bench.
Research of the color variations of armor has no cost and has minimal time.
I have created new NPC squads that you can meet around the world – The wandering Ronins.
There are three types of such NPCs:
- Wandering Poor Ronin – Has cheap equipment and weapons. Similar in skills to Dusty Bandits.
- Wandering Ronin – Standard equipment and weapons. Similar in skills to Black Dragon Ninja or Cloud Ninja.
- Wandering Ronin Master – Standard or High-quality equipment and weapons. Has high skills, and is similar to Tech hunters and the like.
They can be found in different places on the map, wandering alone.
As with my previous mods, I think there should be no conflicts with other mods due to the unique names of items, etc.
All this will also appear in the vendors’ products after the assortment is updated.
- Original Meshes and Textures: Kenshi, Lo-Fi Games[lofigames.com].
- General work on new models and textures: HatedMekkr.
- Fixing Clipping Issues by timor1234 for thinned versions of vanilla footwears;
- Community Part Map by -a-r-k-;
- Community and YAKNM Invisibility part map fix for HIVE by Cattrina;
