Are you tired of the slowness delay before an AI decides to actually do something?
If you want enemies that react with human-like urgency instead of scanning bushes for 5 minutes, then Fast Reaction AI – FRAI is for you.
FRAI removes the animation slowness and consequently, decision latency from AI infantry, it boosts their physical speed, they aim to targets faster and removing the clunky slow-paced shuffle that usually makes them easy targets, in general, it makes them move, reload, and react more naturally.

- Step 1: While in-game, press ESC > Options > Addon Options.
- Step 2: On the "ADDON:" drop-down menu, select Fast Reaction AI – FRAI.
- Step 3: Choose your desired value (1.0 to 2.0) and hit OK/Apply.
⚠️ Note: It can take up to 15 seconds for your action to take effect in the game as the script cycles through all active AI units.
- Simple & Lightweight: A very simple mod that boosts animation speed for every AI Soldier unit across all factions.
- Efficiency Focused: It increases AI soldier animations speed by 25%, allowing them to complete physical actions faster so their internal logic can move to the next step without slowness, it is worth mentioning that you can manually scale AI soldier animations from 1.0x (Vanilla) to 2.0x (Superhuman) speed via CBA Options.
- Not an AI Overhaul: It does not replace the complex tactical logic found in larger mods.
- No FSM Interference: FRAI does not touch or modify any FSM (Finite State Machine) files.
- No Hardcoded Behavior: It does not force specific behaviors into the AI’s decision-making process.
- In short: FRAI increases AI Soldiers animation speeds by 25% by default (customizable from a Vanilla 1.0 to a Superhuman 2.0 via CBA Addon Options), by finishing physical actions faster, the AI can move to its next internal decision quicker, removing the slowness and latency that often makes them feel unresponsive. ⚡
Q: why does it requires CBA_A3 ?
A: because CBA_A3 is required for the event handlers that inject this script into the AI.
Q: does it requires any DLC ?
A: no.
Q: is this mod compatible with "x" mod ?
A: This mod is lean and mean. It should be compatible with almost everything, including major AI overhauls like LAMBS, VCOM, or DCO.
Q: does it work on RHS / CUP / Modded units ?
A: Yes, it applies to the AI logic itself, so it will affect any unit from any mod.
Q: why does it feels like the AI infantry is moving a little bit faster ?
A: because they are, it boosts in 25% the AI infantry animations/movement speed, but you can also use the Addon Options menu to set the speed anywhere from Vanilla 1.0 up to Superhuman like 2.0.
Q: i’m running a server, should it be running on the server as well ?
A: Yes. It runs where the AI is local (Server or Headless Client).
Q: is it signed ?
A: yes, mod is signed with Bohemia Interactive’s Signature System (.bisign) and includes a .bikey for multiplayer server authentication.
