Description:
I’m back to modding Ravenfield!

PROJECT HELL LET RAVEN
This is a WW2 themed project aimed to bring some semi-milsim vehicles, turrets, maps and possibly weapons to Ravenfield. It differs from existing WW2 projects like the WW2 Collection by having traditionally immersion-focused/milsim qualities, such as:

  • Impact Decals
  • Loud 3d worldspace audio
  • Values and statistics tailored for long range combat.

This project was initially created thanks to the release of mods such as PAIO and Haven Mod that vastly improve AI, making milsim-esque engagements quite dynamic and finally enjoyable.

UPDATE

Feb. 5: updated the GrW 34 model and textures.

The pack contains 2 mortars:

GRANATWERFER 34

Stats:

  • Max Range: 2,4 kilometres.
  • Min Range: 60 metres.
  • Ammo: 8cm HE rounds.

"The 8 cm Granatwerfer 34 (8 cm GrW 34), also known as the 8 cm heavy mortar model 34, was a smoothbore, muzzle-loading medium mortar that served as the standard infantry support weapon for the German Army throughout World War II. With a caliber of 81.4 mm—despite its nominal 8 cm designation—it featured a 1.143-meter barrel, weighed 62 kg when fully assembled, and could fire 3.5 kg fin-stabilized high-explosive projectiles at a maximum range of 2,400 meters using incremental propellant charges. The weapon broke down into three main components (barrel, bipod, and baseplate) for transport by a crew of three, achieving a maximum rate of fire of 15–25 rounds per minute, with elevation from 45° to 90° and traverse of 10°–23°."

GRANATWERFER 42

Stats:

  • Max Range: 6 kilometres.
  • Min Range: 280 metres.
  • Ammo: 12cm HE rounds.

"Developed in 1942, the 12 cm (about 4.7 in) GrW 42 was an attempt to give German infantry units a close support weapon with greater performance than the mortars used in general service at the time. This weapon was very similar to the M1938 mortar used by Soviet forces on the Eastern Front, which in turn was an improved version of the French 120 mm Brandt Mle 1935 mortar. The 120 mm Brandt m35 was used in limited quantities during the Battle of France and exported to the USSR and other nations before the country’s capitulation in 1940. The Soviet PM 38 120 mm mortar, was captured in large quantities during the war in the East and pressed into service by the Germans and other Axis nations before the introduction of similar nationally produced 12 cm mortar designs."
