Description:

The toybox:
-7 1/2 ship hulls
*Manticore class sloop, a funny little corvette-thing with a fighter-style bomb bay
*Wendigo class frigate, an under-gunned but affordable escort ship
*Leshen class destroyer, a well armed and armored, versatile middle-weight ship useful in a variety of roles
*Echidna class light carrier (shares its hull design with the Leshen), when you want fighter support but can’t afford a real carrier
*Chimera class fleet destroyer, a fast, aggressive warship capable of hunting down and destroying lighter ships, and conducting missile strikes and harassment attacks against heavier combatants.
*Tarrasque class arsenal ship, a heavily armored capital warship that thrives in head-on engagements, and really wants you to bring some missiles
*Typhon class fleet carrier, what you would get if you sawed an Axford in half, put a Levy in the middle, and welded on some missile tubes
*Leviathan class System Control Ship, a super-ship designed to project power across a system. Possesses battleship grade firepower and armor, and carries facilities for launching and maintaining a small fleet of patrol craft.

-4 custom fighter chassis
*Harpy class fighter, an obselete gunfighter trying to hold its own
*Siren class EWAR fighter, a valuable EWAR support asset, also able to sling a few missiles
*Phoenix class fighter-bomber, what the Sturgeon could have been, capable of fighting enemy ships and fighters alike, depending on the loadout
*Griffin class gunship, basically a corvette shrunk down to fit inside of a large hangar bay, enduring and versatile, but slow to re-arm

-16 custom (non-missile) weapons with several unique ammo types
-A full set of custom missiles + launchers. Coelian missile gameplay is somewhat different from Vanilla, most ships treat them as a potent but limited-use secondary weapon.
-Asymmetry
-Questionable use of fissionable materials
-A "beloved" strongman president-for-life
-Vaugely Soviet inspired aesthetic
-New bugs included free with every update

Brief overview of Coelian Missiles:
-PDM-100 Wisp: Basic short range missile for point defense or light strike, capable of being used as a Rakasha submunition. Similar to the Balestra.
-ADM-100 Sprite: Extended range light missile, only compatible with specific launchers and mounts. Identical to Wisp but with a booster stage for extra reach. Similar to the Lunge.
-ASM-200 Banshee: Cheap size 2 general purpose missile with modest stats. Similar to the vanilla Tempest, but shorter ranged and with a lesser payload, but still agile enough to benefit from terminal manuvers. VLS compatible.
-ASM-L-200 Wraith: A potent, high speed cruise missile, powerful in all aspects but quite expensive and mediocre agility. Benefits from either extra agility or CMD validation, it tends to miss if the seeker switches targets mid-flight. Agile enough to benefit from terminal manuvers. Requires special LPML-212 or DVLS launcher.
-AST-300 Marid: A conventional torpedo, compared to the Pilum, it has a longer reach but a lighter payload. VLS compatible.
-ASM-L-300 Ifrit: A devastating, high-yield cruise missile, a superb anti-capital ship weapon, agile for its size and somewhat resistant to flak. Its only limitations are cost, and a reliance on LPML-34 or DVLS launcher.
-ASM-C-300 Rakasha: A wildcard of a weapon, able to carry numerous submunition types including the Wisp. Optimal tuning varies wildly based on its intended role and carried submunitions. Requires LPML-34 or DVLS launcher.
ASM-H-300 Djini: The Coelian take on a hybrid. Featuring a high thrust cruise stage for maximum agility, and a heavy payload for cracking the heaviest of warships.

Backstory:
The Republic of Coelia is a small but wealthy nation located on the fringe of Shelter Alliance space. They control 3 systems and have a solid industrial backbone including mining, refining, heavy industry, agirculture and two major shipyards. Initially prosperous, paranoia about the possibility of an Alliance invasion has led to a rapid militarization program, and the formerly capitalist Republic has taken on aspects of a command economy. Outbreak of war between the Outer Systems Protecterate and the Shelter Alliance has justified this paranoia in the minds of the leaders of the Republic. Hardline factions have pushed for a first strike option, while the moderates advocate increasing funding and material support to the Protecterate. The outbreak of war seems inevitable, and if Coelia does not strike first, surely the Alliance will, at least in the imagination of leaders of the Republic. Pride is no substitute for material, and Coelia’s admirals know that the Republic could not hope to win a protracted war against the Alliance, at least not on it’s own.
