Adds Madagascar led by Andrianampoinimerina.

Shout out to Merrick (Rosenthorn), whose excellent Madagascar mod with Ranavalona I as a leader served as an inspiration for this project. For consistency, this mod tries to closely match the Civilization’s unique ability (i.e. Tanindrazana) such as implemented in theirs – credit to them for that specific part of the project.

This is a comprehensive mod that introduces Andrianampoinimerina as a new leader for Madagascar, including new visuals and icons, new unique abilities, a new unique military unit and improvement, as well as updated Civilopedia entries.

A King of Imerina in the Central Highlands of Madagascar, Andrianampoinimerina’s rise to fame came about after his successful campaign to consolidate the Merina kingdom, which was then scattered by 77 years of civil war. His subsequent expansion into neighbouring territories paved the way for the unification of Madagascar as an island nation under a single ruler. A cultural hero and one of Madagascar’s greatest political and military leaders, his vision was the catalyst that laid the groundwork for what we know as the modern-day version of the country.

Tanindrazana

• Cities receive an additional +3% Culture and +3% Food and generate an additional +3% Great Person Points for each Specialty District built there.
• Specialty Districts built on Hills grant +1 Great Person point of their type.

Voromahery

• Unique land unit that replaces the Spearman. Unlocked with the Bronze Working Tech. Has 3 Build Charges and can repair and remove improvements and clear features.
• Can be expended to rush the Production of Specialty Districts and their first two tiers of buildings.
• Matches the Greek Hoplite in base Melee Strength and receives + 10 Combat Strength on the Home Continent.

Tsena

• Unique Improvement that unlocks with the Medieval Faires Civic. Limited to 1 per City and must be built on non-desert, non-floodplain terrain and not adjacent to another Tsena.
• Generates +2 Amenities and, for each outgoing Trade Route, +2 Gold. Provides Tourism after Flight.

Kolontsaina

• Unique Leader Ability that provides +2 Culture for each improved Rice and Cattle resource, which subsequently provide Tourism after Flight.
• No Production penalty in Cities that are Displeased, Unhappy, in Unrest, or Revolting.

Firaisankina

• Will not look kindly upon civilizations that act like bullies, especially toward smaller civilizations.
• Likes civilizations that keep to themselves and that are culturally inclined.
