After half a month of crying in pain (the Source Engine is stinky) this model is finally done. But honestly, I’m very happy that I made it, as this has kind of been a wish of mine to have an accurate and functioning Bonzi model for GMOD. Little did I know I’d be the one doing it, and that I would learn tips and tricks to save others the suffering I went through. I think I’ll give them out right now actually.

Number 1, For cartoony eyes with the QC Eyes system : If your character has bulging eyes that are basically separate meshes from the head itself, keep the eye attachments BEHIND the eye mesh, since it is the only way eyes like Bonzi’s will work.

Number 2 : Put collision on every single bone in your physics mesh, even if your model doesn’t need weights for that bone. I cannot emphasize this enough, please do this.

Number 3 : If you want extra bones for animators to use, know that you will have to make 2 separate versions of your model (visual bugs can happen)

Speaking of that lemme give a little notice :

If you’re using Animated Props or other addons like it, use the Playermodel. If you are using Ragdoll Mover or just posing the way most players do, use the ragdoll.

Thanks to those who bother reading this, and whoever wants to download it. Have fun!
