DO YOU LIKE BUILDING EMPIRES AND CHARIOT LEGIONS PURELY ON DRIFTWOOD YOU DIDN’T EVEN PAY FOR? Well, the Sea People Police is onto you, Jimmy boy, and we’re going to investigate these allegations of creating timber with magic.

This does three things:

– Reduces the cost of upgrading most wood resource chains to level 2 by 25%.

Because for that +10 increase on a resource you don’t even need much of, you’re paying way too much (with a return on investment of at least 10 turns if you get fantastic deals on stone).

– Reduces the wood production from Nile and Tigris/Euphrates waterways by about 15.

This puts them below actual wood production regions, you know. I don’t like how the timber-starved river valleys could literally not care about importing it or looking for actual wood regions, and actually end up *exporting wood* with no effort.
On the other hand, this gives them a 2/5% bonus on all production in the province because you must be using the rivers to move stuff around, which is nice, outside of materializing good timber out of nowhere.

– Buffs wood production from the cedar chains in Canaan to 60/80 so that they’re actually strategic.

Because they used to kill each other for that source of the best and most abundant wood around, and currently it’s a complete afterthought.

Can be enabled and disabled whenever you want.
