The Hat Man
Hat Man is a phenomenon in which witnesses report seeing a shadow-like entity dressed in a trench coat and a hat of some kind, usually a fedora.
The Hat Man acts like a ghost and is almost always seen just standing up. This form can simply fade until the witness no longer sees it and has no apparent reaction to people. For example, in April 2004 a combined Marine-Army force had fought its way into Fallujah, a major city in Anbar province as well as a stronghold of an insurgency composed of Hat Man rebels and remnants of the defeated Baathist regime. A Marine Lt. Col relayed his operations officer’s assessment to the hierarchy in Baghdad, for the troops to consume a mild amount of Benadryl so that the ooh raah marines could kill the Hat Men.
