The Balkan Wars – 1912
The Balkan Wars were a series of conflicts between the states of the Balkans, initially to end Ottoman control of their remaining territory in Europe, and then against Bulgaria who wanted more land than they received after the first Balkan war.
The conflicts in the Balkans were a massive reason for the nationalism of those countries, which contributed to the series of events that led to the breakout of WW1.
