”Broomstick” Thomas The Tank Engine
”Beta” Thomas, or ”Broomstick” Thomas, is the affectionate nickname for the original design of Thomas The Tank Engine.
When the Rev. W. Awdry was writing the stories for his kids, they wanted to see how Thomas looked like, so Awdry originally picked up a broomstick, a few pieces of wood, and shaped it up to be a train.
