1178: The Genpei War
1178: The Genpei War aims to simulate an important era in Japanese history, the conflict leading to the founding of the first shogunate. Despite highlighting this era as a key starting date and including a few events on game start, paradox did not include any events to actually start the conflict following the forced abdication of the emperor. This mod aims to fix this, with an event chain leading on from this to start the war and pull the blocs into conflict with one another.
To do:
Add events for Taira no Munemori, if Taira no Kiyomori dies before replacing the emperor.
Add event for if Minamoto no Yorimasa is badly defeated in battle, representing his seppuku following the battle of Uji
Add events for if Minamoto no Yoritomo becomes regent, highlighting his paranoia and the infighting that followed the Minamoto’s victory
