Aspects of Meditation
Weapons and armor are simply tools of the trade. It is only with wisdom that one may achieve true mastery of his craft.

Hello, and welcome to Aspects of Meditation!
Aspects of Meditation is the next entry in my line of extremely niche Kenshi mods. It is my most ambitious project to date (not that I’ve done anything super revolutionary), adding several new armor pieces, a new crafting station, and a new crafting material to go with it.
Aspects of Meditation is loosely based on the mod Skeleton Upgrade Modules Reworked, which I have been consistently using for years now. I always liked being able to take my skeleton characters and really build them around a specific niche. Aspects of Meditation aims to do something similar, but without the race-based restrictions. Upgrade modules might require you to be a machine, but all you need to meditate is a (somewhat) stable mind.
There are aspects for warriors, pacifists, monks, spies, and rangers, each offering its own balance of buffs and debuffs. If you want a character who avoids combat using stealth and unmatched speed, consider training them in the aspect of the spy. If you’re in need of a strong barbarian who will absolutely mop enemies in hand-to-hand combat, have them train in the aspect of the warrior.
Aspects can be “crafted” using scrolls, which themselves are primarily found in lost libraries. On very rare occasions, you can also find scrolls laying around in holy temples and hive villages, as well as the Great Library. While they might not be a common find, most people consider them useless enough to sell for cheap, so be sure to grab one whenever you see it. True wisdom is priceless.
Once you have enough scrolls, you’ll be able to research Aspect Meditation, which will allow you to build a meditation pillow. These pillows essentially act as a smithing station, and is where your characters can “craft” aspects. Be warned, however, as aspect “crafting” is an extremely long process. If your character wants to unlock their inner potential, they’ll have to do it through patience and determination. On the bright side, a character deep in meditation will have their hunger slowed, so starvation shouldn’t be much of an issue.
That’s about it, really. You could definitely consider this a cheat mod, but when weighing the buffs and debuffs of the various aspects – as well as the rarity of the scrolls needed to make them – they should be at least somewhat balanced. That being said, feel free to post any concerns you might have in the comments, as well as any questions.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by. I don’t make these very often, but I’ve got a few other mods on my Workshop page that may or may not interest you. They’re smaller than this one, but might be worth a look if you’re thinking about doing a Nomad playthrough anytime soon.
