Ruler Context
Historical opening-event mod for Crusader Kings III.
Instead of generic flavor popups, the mod gives selected rulers a bespoke introductory event at the start of the 867 bookmark. Each scene is built around that ruler’s real political position: who they are, what dynastic burden they carry, what crisis defines the moment, and what plausible paths lie before them.
Every event offers three meaningful approaches, including the closest historical trajectory and two alternate lines. These choices are not meant to replace CK3’s core systems, but to sharpen the opening years with stronger roleplay, clearer political direction, and immediate consequences through temporary modifiers, resources, and direct opinion shifts between named historical characters.
