Are you tired of playing mods that aren’t in your native language? Is waiting for official community translations taking forever? or perhaps an update broke your favorite translation mod?
Now, you can translate any Mod you like into your own language!
The "Bannerlord Mod One-Click Localization Tool" is a localization utility designed specifically for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. It is simple, practical, and efficient. Whether you want to translate a niche mod for personal use or contribute a translation to the community, this tool will double your efficiency!
Software Language Support: The tool’s interface currently supports English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Target Language Support: You can translate mods from English into any language supported by the game (German, French, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, etc.).
- Smart AI Translation Engine Supports mainstream AI models like DeepSeek, ChatGPT (OpenAI), and Qwen. The translation quality far exceeds traditional machine translation. It also supports free interfaces like Microsoft and Google Translate for zero-cost usage. It intelligently identifies text types and supports custom prompts for "Medieval Style," "Epic Narrative Style," etc.
- Solves DLL Hard-coding Issues Built-in IL decompilation engine automatically scans for hard-coded text within DLL files. Using exclusive RuntimeLocalizer dynamic injection technology, it does not modify original Mod files, perfectly solving those stubborn text lines that editing XML files can’t fix.
- Smart Protection & Terminology Consistency Automatically protects game variable markers (e.g., {PLAYER_NAME}, <color>, etc.) to prevent translation errors from causing crashes. Supports Glossary/Terminology management (e.g., Denar = Denar / Denier / Dinero), ensuring consistency across the mod.
- One-Click Standalone Translation Pack Supports "External Mode," generating a standalone translation Mod folder (e.g., ModName_LanguageExtension) that is easy to share with others. It also supports Overwrite Mode. The tool generates a standardized folder structure that is ready to use immediately.
- Smart Caching System Translated text is automatically saved locally. When a Mod updates, you only need to translate the newly added lines, saving time and API costs while avoiding repetitive work.
Step 1: Installation & Launch Download the tool, unzip it to any directory, and run MB2_Localization_Tool.exe. The tool will automatically scan your game’s Modules folder.
Step 2: Select Target Mod In the main interface, select the Mod you want to translate (Steam Workshop Mods are supported).
Step 3: Configuration Click "Translation Settings".
- [] Free Plan: Select Microsoft or Google Translate. [] High-Quality Plan (Recommended): Use DeepSeek or ChatGPT (Highest cost-performance ratio). Get an API Key from the official provider. In the prompt settings, you can add: "Please translate using a Medieval style suitable for Mount & Blade II."
- Glossary: Add proper nouns or specific game terms here to ensure they are translated correctly.
Step 4: Start Translating Click "Auto Translate" and wait for the progress bar to finish. You can double-click any text line to proofread or edit it manually.
Step 5: Export & Play Click "Export Translation". It is recommended to choose "Create Standalone Translation Pack". Move the generated folder into your game’s Modules directory, launch the game launcher, and enable the new translation mod.
Q: Will this affect my save files? Will I get banned? A: Absolutely not! The tool uses an external localization mode. It does not modify the game executable or the original Mod files. It is purely for single-player use and is completely safe.
Q: What are the system requirements? A: Windows 10 or 11. If you encounter errors, please ensure you have .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher installed.
Q: Which Mods are supported? A: Theoretically, it supports all Mods developed based on the standard Bannerlord framework (including Workshop mods). Both XML and DLL text can be processed.
Q: What if the game/mod updates after I translate it? A: Simply re-scan the Mod with the tool. It will automatically identify new text lines, while old text will be restored from the local cache.
Q: How is the translation quality? A: We recommend using AI engines like DeepSeek or ChatGPT. Combined with the Glossary feature and manual proofreading, the quality is excellent.
- [] It is recommended to try a small Mod first to get familiar with the tool. [] Setting up your Glossary before translating yields better results. [] Some antivirus software may give a false positive warning; please add the tool to your trusted list. [] When using AI APIs, please comply with the terms of service of the respective platform.
Making localization simple, so every Bannerlord player can enjoy Mods in their native language! If you find this tool useful, consider buying the author a soda. Your support is my motivation to keep updating!
