Description:
Israeli Air Defense System (IADS)

A multi-layered air defense mod for Arma 3 featuring two real-world Israeli interceptor platforms working together to protect the battlefield from aerial threats.


Iron Dome

Short-to-medium range defense system armed with Tamir interceptor missiles. Automatically detects and engages incoming rockets, mortar shells, cruise missiles, anti-radiation missiles, artillery rounds, submunitions, and hostile UAVs — including Shahed-type loitering munitions.

Also New Update 1.5 have BMC for Iron Dome and David’s sling in BMC you can add protected area, intercept manually income rockets, missile and etc.

Each launcher carries up to 20 Tamir interceptors equipped with advanced radar-guided homing and extreme 360° maneuverability, allowing the missile to pull sharp turns and engage targets from any angle.

Comes in two variants — IDF Desert and IDF Tactical camo.
Custom 3D model with full radar and missile detection systems.


David’s Sling

Long-range interceptor system designed to counter ballistic missiles and heavy rockets at extended distances (up to 10 km engagement range). Fires Stunner missiles with advanced proportional navigation guidance, capable of intercepting high-altitude ballistic trajectories including Scud-type threats.

Each launcher carries 12 Stunner interceptors with a dedicated ballistic tracking system featuring real-time altitude, speed, and trajectory monitoring.

How to Use

Editor

Place Iron Dome or David’s Sling from the editor (BLUFOR > Turrets). The systems will activate automatically on mission start and begin intercepting threats within range. Spawn Iron Dome BMC if you want change add protected areas, or intercept manually

Zeus (Custom Spawn)

You can spawn the systems via Zeus and customize their parameters by inserting the following commands into the Zeus console:

Iron Dome:

[_this, 3000, 1, [800/3.6, 0, 3, true, 12, 0.05]] spawn IRON_DOME37_fnc_handleDome;

To change the Iron Dome’s operating range — change the value 3000 (in meters).

David’s Sling:

[_this, 10000, 1, [1000/3.6, 1, 8, false, 20, 0.05]] spawn DAVIDS_SLING_fnc_handleSling;

To change the David’s Sling operating range — change the value 10000 (in meters).

CBA Settings

Go to Options > Addon Options > Iron Dome to configure:

  • All Systems Intercept Projectiles — when enabled, all vanilla AI air defense systems will also intercept incoming threats
  • Dome Debug / Sling Debug — enable debug messages in system chat

Developer Note

We originally planned to develop the Arrow-3 (Hetz-3) system for ballistic missile interception. However, we realized that exo-atmospheric intercepts don’t really make sense in Arma 3 — the maps are too small, engagement distances are short, and the game simply doesn’t operate at those scales. So we decided to go with David’s Sling instead, as it is a far more versatile system that fits perfectly within Arma 3’s gameplay — capable of engaging everything from ballistic rockets to cruise missiles at realistic in-game ranges.
