AI Doctrine Overhaul
AI Doctrine Overhaul is a systems-level mod that improves how the AI conducts air operations in Sea Power.
The vanilla AI is intentionally conservative: airstrikes are spaced far apart, targets are handled sequentially, and strike groups often wait for previous missions to fully conclude before preparing the next one.
This mod reworks that behaviour to produce more active, realistic, and dangerous AI air operations, while remaining configurable and scenario-agnostic.
The result is an AI that:
Strikes more frequently
Handles multiple targets more intelligently
Maintains pressure instead of long pauses between missions
Scales well from small scenarios to large Cold War air wars
What This Mod Does
✈️ Improved Airstrike Tempo
Reduces artificial delays between AI airstrikes
Allows new strikes to be prepared earlier, rather than waiting for full mission completion
🎯 Concurrent & Multi-Target Operations
Enables multiple airstrikes to exist at the same time (configurable limit)
Allows strikes to be split across multiple targets instead of focusing on one at a time
What This Mod Does Not Do
To keep expectations clear:
❌ Does not add new aircraft or units
❌ Does not alter player aircraft behaviour
❌ Does not cheat for the AI (no infinite aircraft, no omniscience)
❌ Does not modify damage models or weapons
This is a doctrine and scheduling overhaul, not a balance or content mod.

📘 Usage Notes (Player-Facing)
▶ How to Tell the Mod Is Working
AI airstrikes occur more frequently
Multiple AI strikes may be visible simultaneously
The AI applies sustained pressure instead of long pauses

Large airbases with many aircraft benefit most from this mod
▶ Safe to Disable?
Yes.
Removing the mod returns AI behaviour to vanilla without breaking saves.
