Description:

Hello, Drifters! Or Samurai…

The release of this mod could have been earlier, but unfortunately, I got sick then.
And in order to avoid making any mistakes when creating the work in a not really good condition, I decided to wait until I fully came to my senses.

I’m really sorry for that!

But anyway, I present you my new samurai-themed mod – HatedMekkr’s Workshop: New Samurai Armor Sets.

Mod adds new types of samurai armor, more or less similar to what they were in real life. But stylistically, they still fit into Kenshi’s world.

My goal was to make models using original meshes and textures, so that it would fit perfectly into the atmosphere and style of the game, and which felt like it could be in a vanilla game.

Known issues:

  • Some types of armor can pass through other armor during specific actions, such as running, stealth, and more;
  • Also, some types of armor can move strangely during animations.

All of these problems, for the most part, came from the original meshes.
Over time, I will try to fix this as I update the mod and add new content.

Items:

Headgears:

  • Samurai Hat – Type I; (Light Version)
  • Samurai Hat + Mask – Type I; (Light Version)
  • Samurai Hat – Type II; (Regular Version)
  • Samurai Hat + Mask – Type II; (Regular Version)
  • Samurai Helmet – Type I; (Light Version)
  • Samurai Helmet + Mask – Type I; (Light Version)
  • Samurai Helmet – Type II; (Regular Version)
  • Samurai Helmet + Mask – Type II; (Regular Version)
  • Samurai Helmet – Type III; (Heavy Version)
  • Samurai Helmet + Mask – Type III. (Heavy Version)

Bodywears:

  • Empire Conscript’s Armour – Type I; (Special armour for Imperial Samurai Conscripts)
  • Samurai Armour – Type I; (Light Version)
  • Samurai Armour – Type II; (Regular Version)
  • Samurai Armour – Type III. (Heavy Version)

Legwears:

  • Samurai Legplates – Type I; (Light Version)
  • Samurai Legplates – Type II; (Regular Version)
  • Samurai Legplates – Type III. (Heavy Version)

Footwears:

  • Samurai Boots – Type I. (Regular Version)

Almost all of the new samurai armor has alternative versions [ALT], which are visually different.

Also, all new samurai armor has multiple color variants and dyed parts, so you can combine colors and create a unique look.

Also, there are special version for United Cities for some armors, which are worn by the Imperial Samurai of this faction. It is distinguished by its color scheme and the faction’s logo.

There are also rusted versions of samurai armor, as was with vanilla armor.

FUNCTIONALLY, each type differs in properties:

  • Every Type I Armor (Except samurai boots) – considered an light variant and is considered middle class, and has protective properties lower than the regular variant;
  • Every Type II Armor – considered a regular variant of armor, which is similar in properties to vanilla samurai armor;
  • Every Type III Armor – considered a heavy armor variant, and has much stronger protective properties than other types.

VISUALLY, gives you more variety of armor in the game.

Blueprints and Crafting:

First of all, to craft a new armor, you need my other mod – Hatedmekkr’s Workshop – Workbenches. All the crafting is done through my workbenches so as not to clutter up the vanilla ones.

Blueprints for the new armor can be purchased from the same vendorts as the vanilla samurai armor. Most often, they can be found at UC Armor Vendor, Armour King, and others.

Depending on the type of armor, its price will also vary. Type I will be the cheapest, while Type III will be the most expensive. Well, you get the idea.

Requirements: Clothing Manufacture, Simple Clothing Types, and Hats and Headgear for samurai headgears.

The color versions of the armor are unlocked after researching the regular version of the Samurai armor, and are learned on The Research Bench.

  • Example: As soon as you research the "Samurai Armor – Type III [ALL]" blueprint, "Samurai Armor – Type III [All colors]" will appear on Research Bench.

Blueprints of the United Cities version are sold from UC Armor Vendor, and they are divided into categories, and require knowledge of crafting regular versions:

  • Empire Samurai Headgears – Opens all types and variants of UC armour;
  • Empire Samurai Armour – Opens all types and variants of UC armour;
  • Empire Samurai Legplates – Opens all types and variants of UC armour;
  • Empire Samurai Boots – Opens all types and variants of UC armour.

To unlock the rusted versions of samurai armor, you need to research them on Research Bench. They are also divided into categories, and to access them, you also require knowledge of crafting regular versions:

  • Rusted Samurai Headgears – Open all types and variants;
  • Rusted Samurai Armours – Open all types and variants;
  • Rusted Samurai Legplates – Open all types and variants;
  • Rusted Samurai Boots – Open all types and variants.

Starting with this mod, all new research will appear in a separate category"Hatedmekkr’s Workshop".

There will be updates for my previous mods in the future, which will also move the research to a new category.

In The World:

For the most part, all new armor affects United Cities and their Imperial Samurai.

Also, the new samurai armor can be found on Police Officers Of UC.

Rusted versions of armor can be found on skeletons in the Ashlands.

Conflicts with other mods and Game Import:

As with my previous mods, I think there should be no conflicts with other mods due to the unique names of items, etc.

Game Import will be useful so that new armor appears on existing NPCs in cities or shelters. (As an example, the same Imperial Samurai.)

New wandering NPCs with new armor will appear automatically.

All this will also appear in the vendors’ products after the assortment is updated.
