Parliament 2.0
Parliament 2.0 adds a parliamentary representation of political power, population alignment and election results, if elections exist in your country.
The mod does not change gameplay. It only modifies the interface.
- Displays the political power of Interest Groups.
- Displays the political alignment of the population.
- Displays an Electoral Parliament based on vanilla election results.
- Seat representation in an interface close to the vanilla style.
- 2 parliament shapes available.
- Updates every 7 days.
- Adds historical information over 7 days / 3 months / 1 year.
The Hemicycle is the classic semi-circular shape used by many parliaments around the world.
- Power Structure: the Interest Groups with the highest clout are placed on the right side of the parliament.
- Political Alignment: Interest Groups are displayed on the right side of the parliament.
- Electoral Parliament: the government party is placed on the right side of the parliament.
The Westminster System is a new face-to-face parliament layout inspired by the British Parliament.
- Power Structure: the 3 most powerful Interest Groups are placed at the bottom of the parliament.
- Political Alignment: Interest Groups are displayed at the bottom of the parliament.
- Electoral Parliament: the government party is placed at the bottom of the parliament.
Parliament data now updates every week instead of once per month.
Additional historical information has also been added to several tabs, depending on the context:
- Last cycle
- Last 3 months
- 1 year
- Last election
This makes it easier to follow the evolution of political power, population alignment and election results.
- Optimized seat color calculations.
- Seats are now based on Interest Group colors, instead of only being based on their power.
- Better visual consistency between Power Structure, Political Alignment and Electoral Parliament.
- More information added to the interface.
- Presentation closer to the vanilla style.
- Improved tooltip readability.
- Removed old GFX files based on the BPM mod.
- Fixed several color issues.
- Fixed election-related bugs.
- Electoral Parliament now uses the same election variables as the base game, instead of an internal calculation.
- Fixed seat attribution issues.
- Fixed missing or misplaced seats.
- Fixed log errors related to the game engine.
The mod is designed for Victoria 3 1.13.
The mod aims to be an interface framework that is as compatible as possible with other mods.
Political parties added by other mods can be displayed automatically in the Electoral Parliament, as long as they are properly recognized by the vanilla election system. The mod uses the game’s election data and the party colors provided by the vanilla interface.
Interest Groups added by other mods are taken into account in the global clout and political alignment calculations. However, new Interest Groups not recognized by the mod may be grouped under a generic color instead of having an individual color.
This is only an interface mod. It does not modify laws, Interest Groups, parties, elections, economy, diplomacy or game balance.
The mod should be safe to add to an existing save.
Depending on your country’s situation, some information may update after the next refresh cycle or after the next election.

I spent a lot of time trying to improve player customization.
I tested the possibility of freely choosing the number of parliament seats, for example 50, 100, 500, 1000 or 2000 seats. However, making this system automatic while keeping a clean visual result is complicated.
Depending on the parliament shape and the number of seats, there can be spacing issues, missing seats or layouts that simply do not look good.
I also did not want to release an update with errors in the game logs, even if the mod appeared to work in-game. Part of the development time was therefore spent fixing these errors.
I also tested new parliament shapes, including rounder layouts inspired by some parliamentary chambers in Asia. These would probably require changing the widget size and reworking more of the interface.
Maybe for a future 3.0 version. 😀
Thank you all for the support around this mod.
Originally, this was simply a fork of an already known mod, but I did not expect it to stay this popular for so long.
Thank you to everyone who made forks, localizations, adaptations for other UI mods and BPM-compatible versions.
Thanks to Geass for helping optimize the seat calculation system.
