Description:
Realm Consolidation Bias

Tired of seeing AI rulers ignore their local borders and launch illogical, messy conquests across the map? Realm Consolidation Bias is designed to fix the "bordergore" caused by random AI expansion.

This mod adjusts AI expansion priorities so rulers focus on consolidating their own de jure sphere and natural upward-path targets before launching remote expeditions.

🌟 Main Behavior
  • De Jure Focus: AI gives higher priority to de jure land beneath titles it already holds.
  • Upward-Path Consolidation: AI values territory that helps form or consolidate the next higher title connected to its primary title.
  • Adjacency & Contiguity: Rulers strongly prefer adjacent land over distant, overseas, or exclave-prone grabs.
  • Weight-Based Logic: Instead of rewriting AI warfare entirely, the mod works by biasing war target selection weights for a more natural growth pattern.

⚠️ Notes
  • This mod does NOT rewrite combat AI or troop movements.
  • The focus is not on increasing raw aggression, but on re-prioritizing expansion targets.
  • Compatibility: May conflict with mods that heavily overhaul Casus Belli (CB) triggers or global AI war-declaration logic.
