Ysriarite Migration Northwards
Trivia:
This mod essentially "moves" Ysriar further north than it is in vanilla KPO, replaces Tahnaka, and creates Asqaluna instead. Both Ysriar and Asqaluna will have access to the same faction units and buildings. This is to avoid breaking the game for those playing a campaign with Ysriar at Asqaluna. However, if you have an ongoing Ysriar campaign, it will effectively still break your game if you enable this, because your faction will change flags, colours, names, etc. For those wishing to fulfill their desire to play Ysriar with one of the Myriad theories placing it in this area, your wish is now fulfilled.
As for Asqaluna, I’m not sure yet whether I’ll do more with them or leave them as a fully fleshed-out alternate Ysriar. So far I put Qenaz in charge of the place, as first judge, to make it fit as a culturally similar faction, but I may eventually replace him.
You’ll face the Pulasati right out of the gate and may be able to pit Walwattaš against Yehošua.
Psst. the desc is intentionally provocative, just like in the main mod’s Odysseus desc is. Its the same stories one find in traditional literature but intentionally from an modern pov. Its meant to provoce the player to think about the topic, rather than convince or give an set narrative. If one reads Pseudo-Philo, in ancient times, his copatriots might have given him props for the story, ppl thought Qenaz was a good guy. But reading the same text today, where the social values are different, makes talk about burning ppl alive for disagreeing with you sound .. not sane. One can essentially do this for all the in-game characters. I’ve mostly only chosen a few to give this to, incl. mentioned Odysseus, which in ancient pov gets the hero treatment, but in the modern world having many wifes and expecting the wifes to be faitful while your not is too not an social virtue anymore. etc etc Hopefully it’ll make you curious enough to go find out for yourself 🙂
