Description:

TwisTonFire — Faster Actions

Ever wondered why so many actions in Project Zomboid take forever?
Why does your survivor stare at a tiny fish for 10 in-game minutes before putting it away?
Why does opening a can feel like a full workout session?

This mod puts you in control.

Since Build 42.13.1, Faster Actions uses Sandbox Options (instead of Mod Options) for proper multiplayer compatibility and dedicated-server support.
Set one value and speed up—or slow down—most timed actions across the game.

Features
  • Global speed scaling for most timed actions (lightweight and compatible with most mods).
  • Transfer actions are included (moving items between containers / inventory transfers).
  • Wide range: from 0.25x speed (4× slower) up to 10x speed.
  • Legacy-save migration: older worlds won’t suddenly feel “wrong” if you previously used the old scaling.

Examples:

  • Put away your freshly caught fish quickly… or turn it into a painfully long chore.
  • Opening cans? Make it snappy—or make it miserable for a hardcore survival vibe.
  • Bulk looting / transferring items can finally be sped up too.

How to configure

Open: Options → Sandbox Options
Look for: TwisTonFire — FasterActions

Adjust: Timed Action Speed (%)
Higher = faster, Lower = slower.

100% = vanilla timings.
You can go from 25% (4× slower) up to 1000% (10× faster).

Note:
Some actions are governed by recipe/handcraft timings or other systems. This mod focuses on timed actions and applies a global speed factor where the game uses timed actions.

Multiplayer / Servers

This mod only patches existing vanilla client/server logic — it does not add new systems.
It is designed to work in multiplayer and on dedicated servers.

Important: For multiplayer, the mod must be enabled on the server (clients will receive it from the server as usual).

Small heads-up: Multiplayer isn’t my main focus in Project Zomboid. My top priority will always be singleplayer.
