Fix Trading Loops
Updated for 1.3.6, should work for 1.2 aswell
This mod removes unrealistic trade loops by changing the efficiency calculation. Trade efficiency bonus now gets applied to the profit from trade. The overall strength of trade policies remains the same, but the mechanics now function in a more realistic and balanced way.
Trade Efficiency allows traders to sell goods even against small price differences due to the selling bonus. When two markets have similar prices and high efficiency, this can result in traders moving massive amounts of the same good back and forth — creating unrealistic and gamey trade loops.
This mod eliminates that issue by restructuring how trade bonuses are applied, preventing infinite back-and-forth trading while preserving the power level of trade policies.
Important
⚠ Markets may lose significant value if your economy previously relied on exploiting trade loops.
⚠ Trade at the start of the game will be much less and less sustained trades. More temporary imports because of construction
