This mod is, surprisingly,
IRONMAN safe
and changes the shape of ingame flags/shields to that of squares.
In addition to that, it changes the dimensions of those squares to larger frames.
I have adjusted the location of several flags, ranging from pop-ups to province view.
This is not a perfect mod and may never be 100%, but I find that it has reached an acceptable level of functionality.
I tried to minimize overlap and whatnot, since the point is to simply make flags more visible so that detailed flags (like the Waifu Universalis mod) can actually be seen from another country’s point of view.
10/9/2021 – Due to recent updates to the game, I am unsure if this will be forward compatible with future versions. If it is not, I will wait until the game state has improved as the latest update is quite unstable in terms of gameplay and I will be avoiding it.
12/1/2024 – I have updated it to be compatible with most recent game version (1.37).
