Rival Insurgency
There is a new player on the block! A new insurgent faction has risen up, opposed to both coalition forces and the Nowheraki insurgency. Though poorly trained, they make use of dirty tactics to get the upper hand.
Become the bad guys (or good guys, it’s all a matter of perspective) with the Rival Insurgency mod. Make use of unique weaponry like muskets, bolt-action rifles, and automatic shotguns. Join the Rekard Insurgency on their quest to unite Nowheraki.
The Rival Insurgency squad with three classes: Grunt, Veteran, Advisor
A fully custom doctrine tree
32 new unique weapons, ranging from modern firearms to antique muskets
New grenades and other equipment
5 New missions in the Born In Fire map pack
6 New enemy factions, ranging from street gangs to government forces
Foreign citizens with Nowheraki heritage who felt more loyalty for Nowheraki. Most of the time they simply join the regulars, but their experience in their country’s special forces makes them much more valuable. Their expertise made them easily rise through the ranks. Foreign advisors make plans, train fighters, and are formidable fighters themselves. They also brought some equipment with them, better than what we have.
Proven fighters who earned their place in the cause. They are trusted with better weaponry, and are in charge of leading grunts. Veterans are much more dedicated to the cause, and spend their full time aiding the movement. Their role makes them a target, so they hide their face to prevent targeted attacks outside of work time.
Ordinary citizens who joined the cause. They join for many reasons: out of anger, a desire to change the country, fear of their safety, or even just to put a roof over their head. They are not full-time fighters, and sometimes they are unavailable for long periods of time during times like harvest season, when the farmers are with their crops. They don’t have much in training, or even knowledge with firearms. Only knowing “point towards enemy and pull trigger.”.
A rough street gang that takes advantage of shady cops to get away with their robberies.
A band of killers for hire, who serve the Balarak Gang.
A lawful group who provides security to various locations.
A law enforcement militia with little training and authority.
A group that needs no introduction.
A government security service which protects infrastructure.
Using the doctrine Infamy will apply to hostage VIPs, causing enemies to shoot them on sight. I can’t really fix that so as a workaround remove the doctrine from all squads (Even if you don’t deploy that squad the effect persists). When you load the map remove the doctrine, then restart. If you re add the doctrine the effect won’t be applied to VIPs.
Some assets are yet to be made, and are to be replaced eventually.
