Description

Overgrown Planets is a cute little planet mod made by Tidalbelt. However, I didn’t like certain things, so I changed them.

Changes

  • Added 5 new microdungeons (new with v1.1).
  • Added support for Galactic Almanach (new with v1.1).
  • Removed the pesky Ocean and Toxic biomes.
  • The "Overgrown Tree" dungeon is no longer protected.
  • Removed the Hive sub-region, because ew.
  • Added more vanilla dungeons to the mix for variety.
  • Removed the Floran Canyon dungeon. I just didn’t like it.
  • Added kiwis to the "surfaceCrops" pool, because kiwis are cool.
  • Less spammy Scorched City and encounter microdungeons.
  • Added "drizzle" to the weather pool.

Also includes a small fix related to MPI:

The cockpit.config was missing its reference to the unused Overgrown Tree icon, which is now fixed. I took the opportunity to give it a small resprite. Also added missing transparency.

Q&A

Q: Is this mod safe to install/uninstall at any time?
A: Yes, but if you want this mod to take effect, you’ll have to fly to newly generated planets.

Q: Is it compatible with [mod]?
A: Most certainly yes. This mod only changes Overgrown Planets.

Q: Is it compatible with other mods/patches for Overgrown Planets?
A: Magnificent Moths, Galactic Almanach and Jean’s LostBound patch are compatible with this.

Special thanks to FUS who taught me basic JSON patching and more.
Make sure to check out Protogen Redux! <3

Shout-out to Armok who gave me an idea to adjust spawn behavior of microdungeons. He has also helped me with other stuff before – definitely worth checking out Project Redemption! :3

Thanks to Tidalbelt for creating Overgrown Planets! 🙂
