Description:

Gwen, The Hallowed Seamstress from League of Legends snips her way into Rivals of Aether!

Meter

Gwen gains meter by hitting opponents. Only 1 meter can be gained per attack. Gwen can have a maximum of 4 meter.

Snip Snip!

Many of Gwen’s attacks contain a sweet spot snip, dealing extra damage and knockback, and interacting with Gwen’s neutral special to provide extra effects!

Needlework (NSPECIAL)


Character: Tarry

For Gwen’s neutral special she throws a needle out, piercing enemies, dealing damage and dealing a very small amount of hitstun. Gwen can recast NSPECIAL up to 2 more times, gaining more needles per cast.
The first cast fires 1 needle, the second fires 3 and the third fires 5 needles. Hitting an enemy with a needle marks them. When Gwen Snip Snip! ‘s a marked enemy, she gains the following benefits:

  • + 3 extra damage
  • + 2 extra hitstun
  • + 2 healing to Gwen
  • + 1 meter to Gwen

Hallowed Mist (DSPECIAL)


Character: Azula

When used on the ground, Gwen summons the Hallowed Mist, protecting her from all outside influence and providing 1 meter. While within the Hallowed Mist, Gwen is completely immune to attacks from opponents outside of the field. Gwen can be attacked as usual if her attacker is in the field with her. Hallowed mist can be moved once by walking outside of its radius, refreshing its timer.

When used in the air, Gwen briefly turns into her doll form, giving her a couple of frames of invincibility, before expanding and hitting all around her.

Cut Above (USPECIAL)

Gwen jumps onto her scissors to fly for a brief moment! The direction can be influenced using your movement/stick, allowing Gwen to fly almost directly up or directly forward.

Skip ‘n Slash (FSPECIAL)

If Gwen has sufficient meter, she performs a horizontal dash! By default, Gwen’s dash will use 2 meter (Enhanced), however if shield is pressed during the startup (or she only has 1 meter available) then it will only use 1.
After Gwen’s dash ends, she gains a few frames of float. FSPECIAL distance is reduced if used on the ground. During FSPECIAL, Gwen is COMPLETELY* actionable and can use attacks during it, or even use FSPECIAL during attacks.

Gwen’s Enhanced FSPECIAL provides:

  • Double jump refund
  • Full distance

if the dash is not Enhanced:

  • No double jump refund
  • Half distance

If Gwen uses FSPECIAL when she has no meter available, she will instead stumble, stall in the air and be vulnerable to a punish.

* "Completely" actionable obviously has some exceptions such as most defensive moves like airdodge or roll

RUNES!!!

Runes are so so fun. Gwen has all rune slots created. have fun going through them!

Please enjoy playing Gwen! i just love her design, so i hope i’ve represented her well. My goal was to make a fun floaty moveset focused around her Snips and her Dash, as I believe the idea behind repositioning her snips on the fly is what makes Gwen a fun character. She also of course has her hallowed mist for if she wants to sit and laugh at a zoner, because you can’t have Gwen without Gwen Is Immune

Gwen is such an incredible design and she means a whole bunch to me. I took a lot of her sound effects and voicelines directly from League of Legends (as well as her champion theme for the victory theme). All of those belong to Riot Games and im not claiming ownership of them.
