Description:

Have you ever wished that javelinmen in Rome 2 could effectively skirmish?
Or that all those precursor javelins or pila actually did something more than deal damage?

What does it do?

This mod adds contact effect to all javelin projectiles that applies a temporary penalty to enemy’s:

  • Missile Block Chance – making javelinmen more effective at attacking shielded targets, even from the front (Such as when using them as a screen for your frontline, as they were used historically)
  • Speed – enabling javelinmen to more effectively skirmish against melee infantry
  • Shield Defence – giving melee units with precursor javelins an advantage in combat after charging

All in all, this should result in javelin units being a bit more versatile, having more use than just devastating flanking.

Compatibility

This mod will apply the effect to all vanilla javelin projectiles. If a mod uses a custom javelin projectile entry, it will not get the effect
