Neat Crafting & Neat Building – XP & Mod Display

Neat Crafting & Neat Building – XP & Mod Display is a lightweight companion Workshop item for Neat Crafting and Neat Building.

It adds clear, optional XP gain and source mod information directly to recipe lists, with multiple XP display modes, useful filters, text scaling, and clean auto-sizing entries designed to keep the UI readable.

This Workshop item contains two separate addons. Enable only the ones you actually use.

You do not need to enable both addons unless you use both base mods.

• XP per recipe: shows how much XP a recipe gives and which skill receives it
• Multiple XP display modes: Base XP, Final XP, Multiplier, or Full Breakdown
• Accurate multiplier breakdowns: includes starting skill bonuses, books, traits, sandbox XP, and global XP multipliers where applicable
• Optional Mod line: shows which mod a recipe comes from
• XP-only and Mod-only filters: quickly find recipes that grant XP or come from mods
• Auto-resize and text scaling: recipe entries grow cleanly to avoid clipped text

• Adds XP and optional source mod lines to the Neat Crafting recipe list
• Supports all XP display formats through Mod Options

• Automatically resizes recipe entries for longer XP and mod text
• Correctly handles recent Build 42 recipe XP behavior, including electricity recipes

• Supports vanilla building recipes and Neat Building recipes
• Correctly handles recent Build 42 recipe XP behavior, including newer workstation/building recipe XP changes

• Fixed XP multiplier breakdowns for recipes using internal perk IDs such as Electricity
• Electricity recipes now correctly show the expected XP breakdown in all XP display modes
• Fixed missing XP display for Butter Chum / ChurnBucket in recent B42.18 builds
• Avoided debug-only Java reflection paths in recent builds for better MP Host compatibility

XP display can be configured through Mod Options.

Available XP formats include:

• Base XP
• Final XP
• Multiplier
• Full Breakdown

The source mod line and filters can also be enabled or disabled depending on how much information you want in the recipe list.

• CH, CN, DA, DE, EN, ES, FR, HU, IT, JP, KO, NL, PL, PT, PTBR, RU, TH, TR, UA

In Build 42 multiplayer, some mods may register WorldDictionary keys. If a world was saved with certain mods enabled and they are later removed, that save may fail to load.

Rule of thumb:

• If a world has used Neat Crafting or Neat Building, avoid removing them from that save or server
• Always make a full backup before changing mod lists on MP

• Close Project Zomboid completely
• Unsubscribe from this Workshop item
• Wait until Steam finishes removing it
• Subscribe again and wait for the download to finish
• Launch the game
