Description:

In September of 1983, the Strategic Air Command introduced their own variant of the newly adopted Euro I paint scheme. This was known as the Strategic Camouflage Paint System, or the Strategic Scheme. This new scheme was introduced to provide better concealment for low-altitude penetration missions, which due to the increasing threat of Soviet SAMs and interceptors became a new priority for the SAC. Later in 1988, the scheme was simplified to using just Federal Standard 36081 Dark Gunship Gray overall, as it was determined that the monotone color offered similar camouflage benefits at a reduced cost. Therefore from then on, SAC aircraft began converting to the new monotone scheme.

This Mod adds both the initial version of the Strategic Scheme with FS 34086 Green Drab, and the later monotone scheme of FS 36081. Additionally, the 43rd Bombardment Wing out of Andersen Air Force Base in Guam is added as an additional squadron for the Pacific. The 43rd was based out of Andersen until 1989, when they were redeployed to bases in the United States, and soon after deactivated in September of 1990.
