Buffed Horse Pastures
At release, horse pastures gave -20% recruitment cost and -20% upkeep cost for cavalry at rank 5. This was nerfed to -10% upkeep, so it wasn’t possible to get free cavalry upkeep anymore.
This mod meets in the middle and brings the upkeep to -15%.
Horse pastures now reduces upkeep by 3/6/9/12/15 % per level.
This change effectively lets Ma Teng get -100% upkeep on his Qiang units with the 3 horse pastures near him.
– 3 pastures for -45%
– 8 prestige points in army for -15%
– Red tree reform for -10%
– Ma Teng’s Background for -20% on Qiang units
– Ma Chao’s Background for -10% on Qiang units
This gives Ma Teng exactly 100% for his special units! Don’t let your cavalry dreams be memes. It only felt right that the horse faction gets to enjoy something like this. I’d argue this is still not as OP as Cao Cao’s faction-wide 100% replenishment.
(Do note that if any of your general have a trait that increase retinue/army cost, it will not be 100% so there will be a cost. This is not a bug, that’s how the game works)
Should be compatible with everything, unless that mod also changes the horse pasture upkeep effect.
