Province Manager
The vanilla Locations panel is nice, but what if you could see everything at a glance? Province Manager replaces the default ledger with a fully customizable, data-rich table that puts your entire empire at your fingertips.
Choose exactly what you want to see. Toggle any column on or off through the Column Settings dialog. Columns are organized into logical groups that can be toggled all at once:
- General — Rank, Religion, Culture
- Demographics — Population (with growth rate), Literacy, Manpower, Food
- Economy — Tax Base, Net Balance, RGO, Market Access
- Development — Development (with monthly growth), Prosperity (with change), Control
- Construction — Smart Build recommendations, Buildings capacity, Active constructions
- Estates — Individual columns for all 8 pop types: Nobles, Clergy, Burghers, Laborers, Soldiers, Peasants, Tribesmen, Slaves
Automatically constructs the most profitable building in each location every month.
- Profit Threshold — set minimum profit per level to filter low-value buildings
- Gold Reserve — prevent auto-build from spending below a gold floor
- Toggle All / per-location auto-build checkboxes
- One-click Recalculate to refresh recommendations
Click any location’s Buildings column to open a detailed view of all built and buildable buildings, sorted by profit per level.
Dedicated Constructions tab with filters:
- Active only — show locations with ongoing construction
- Stalled — show locations with stalled construction (missing goods)
- Estates — show estate-funded constructions
- Population with growth rate and vanilla-style breakdown tooltip
- Market Access with pie chart and full breakdown tooltip
- Prosperity with monthly change indicator
- Net Balance — real income after expenses (green/red)
- Literacy percentage
- Per-estate unemployment with progress bars
- Control pie chart with percentage
- Development with monthly growth
When many columns are enabled, a horizontal scrollbar appears automatically. Hide some columns — scrollbar disappears. No manual configuration needed.

- New: Auto-build now skips buildings if the location lacks unemployed population of the required type (e.g. won’t build burgher buildings in a rural village with no burghers)
- This prevents wasting gold on buildings that sit empty due to labor shortages
- Toggle on/off via the new Settings button in the Actions card
- Disabled by default — enable it in Settings if you want to try it out
- Experimental — please report any issues in the comments
- New settings window accessible from the gear icon in the Actions card
- Currently contains the labor check toggle with detailed tooltip
Note: This is an experimental feature. I’ll be watching feedback and fixing issues when I have time, but no promises on further development of this area.
