IHPS Helmet 2035
The Integrated Helmet Protection System began development after lessons learned in the Takistan Invasion, but in the wake of the Black Recession of the 2020s, the US Army had to enact cost-cutting measures to stay within Congress’s allocated budget. MICH style helmets already in service would be unable to be replaced quickly as focus shifted from soldiers’ PPE to arming all combat MOS with the new MX rifle alongside the 6.5mm round. By 2035, fielding of the IHPS was still sluggish as airborne units were just able to switch over while regulars remained with previous generation helmets. As tensions with Iran rise in the Mediterranean, requests for increased production and distribution of the IHPS have been made.
Although there are many IHPS variants on the workshop, this one goes out to all the vanilla 2035 enjoyers. Do not expect a 1:1 recreation of the real life version of the helmet. Our helmet is heavily influenced by the Arma 3 artstyle and hopes to fit with vanilla assets, Aegis, or vanilla adjacent mods. I can suggest using W28/W35, USP, or Kartsa’s versions if you wish to use something more irl focused.
