Description:

An overhaul mod for the High Cultist class that rebalances the class summoning rituals and starting units, alongside many new units and commanders. Since there is currently no way to mod the Astrology mechanic, this mod replaces that mechanic with new themes for the High Cultist’s Deep One and eldritch focused rituals.

Feature List
  • Unique troops rather than standard human troops. In addition to hybridized humans, the High Cultist can now upgrade all summonable Deep One troops in their citadels.
  • All new summoning rituals. The Dagonite rituals summon Deep Ones and Angler Spawn, but have a chance to call forth huge animals of the depths instead. Eldritch rituals summon a variety of new creatures from beyond the stars, and produce extra stationary defensive units wherever they are cast.
  • A new recruitable commander that can infiltrate small settlements and convert them into willing sacrifices for the High Cultist. This replaces the free spawns that the High Cultist received annually from small settlements.
  • Several new eldritch commander units to add more spell path variety to the class.
  • Rework for the Strange Thing to turn it into a more consistently effective stationary defense unit.
  • Some other minor balance changes, including some nerfs to the most powerful of the High Cultist’s existing lategame units in exchange for more variety and early game consistency.

Compatibility

This mod doesn’t use any event variables or new terrain groups.
