This is a temporary compatibility patch for Regional Immersion and Cultural Enrichment (RICE) and Cultures Expanded (CE) for vanilla patch 1.19.

Generally, RICE is compatible with CE. However, since RICE’s update to 1.19 added many new cultures and languages, it’ll take the CE team a while to update their mod to account for RICE’s additions, so running RICE and CE together right now without compatching may cause some bugs. As a one time measure, I’ve uploaded this compatch for the two mods which essentially removes references to the new languages, etc.

Because of this, there will be inaccuracies with some of the cultures, languages, heritages, etc., such as South Americans being labeled as Polynesian. This is simply necessary to ensure compatibility for now until CE updates.

I have no intention of ever maintaining a proper RICE+CE compatch for the long term; this will just be a temporary solution for the 1.19 patch until CE folks have time to update due to the unprecedented large number of languages and heritages they’ll have to account for.
