Description:
Set all Tariffs for all Goods

A quality-of-life mod for Victoria 3 that lets market leaders quickly bulk-set tariff levels across every good in their market.

Overview

This mod adds a decision called "Set Tariffs" which triggers an event chain. As the leader of a market (i.e. you own a world market hub), you can instantly set import and export tariff levels for all vanilla goods at once.

No more clicking through every individual good in the market interface!

Features
  • Set tariffs for all goods
  • Four tariff levels:
  • No tariffs or subventions (zero)
  • Low tariffs
  • High tariffs
  • Maximum tariffs
  • Goods that currently have a subvention are skipped, so your existing subsidy plans are not overwritten
  • 2-month cooldown after each use
  • Clean, lightweight event interface with tooltips

How to Use
  • Play as a country that leads a market.
  • Go to your Decisions panel.
  • Select "Set Tariffs".
  • In the next event, pick your desired tariff level.

Compatibility
  • Only affects vanilla goods
  • Should be compatible with most other mods (as long as they don’t completely overhaul the goods or tariff system)

Note from the Author

You can set tariffs ranging from maximum protectionism down to completely free trade. Anything beyond that (e.g. subsidizing both imports and exports of the same good) makes very little economic sense. I mean, why on earth would you do that? Do you look like Panama or something?

Made for players who want to efficiently manage large or complex economies.
