Description:

This is a Global overhaul mod with the focus on Army General mode.
This mod takes a top of inspiration from the wonderful RebsFrago mod, so I encourage anyone who hasn’t tried it yet to do so.

Key Features:

Gameplay

– Scaling changed to 1:1.
– Reduced visibility, tree lines block vision, forest visibility reduced significantly.
– Weapon ranges revamped to more realistic values.
– Unit speeds reduced to more realistic values.
– Fuel lasts longer, ammo refill costs revamped and reduced for most weapon types.
– Armor penetration system retuned to probabilistic. Most AP weapons can pen MBT’s from the front, yet the lower the AP value of the weapon, the lower the chances of penetration and vice versa.
– A penetrating hit on vehicle almost always results in a crit.
– AP scaling with distance reduced to +1 on 1km.
– New armor families for ERA and NERA with different effectiveness against HEAT weapons.
– Armor & AP values adjusted where needed to be a consistent system:
1) 1 AV gives protection against small arms fire
2) 2 AV gives protection against 12.7mm
3) 3 AV gives protection against 14.5mm
4) 4 AV gives protection against 20mm and 23mm cannons
5) 5 AV gives protection against 25mm and 30mm cannons
6) 6+ AV is scaled by adding 1 AV for each 30mm of armor thickness
– New crit profiles for some vehicle types. (T64/T72/T80 tanks have increased chance of ammo explosion on side penetration).
– HE weapons splash radius reduced radically across the board, damage values are increased instead.

Army General

– AI is more aggressive on strategic map and more prone to defend their battalions.
– AA lost their ability to intercept planes, it works similar to Artillery and fits into Air support slot.
– Air support slots number increased to 2. (To promote AA participation).
– AA and Artillery now have 12 action points and move similar to mechanized battalions.
– Helicopter battalions also fit to Air Support slot now and have a small area of support allowing them to join the fight from behind of the frontline battalion.
– Planes have 8 action points, allowing them to join 2 fights per turn.
– AG uses the same unit prices as the multiplayer mode.
– Rebalanced starting points and income to fit new prices.
– All air wings updated for more variety and slightly increased to 15-16 planes in most cases.
– Supply vehicles availability increased across the board. Each artillery company has a dedicated supply group (for COOP purposes).
– Other smaller changes in unit compositions.
