Frieda/Danilo
This is a standalone character mod to test out some of my personal ideas.
The mod includes a total of 2 characters, both completely original and not from any existing work. Please note that Frieda’s character art was generated by AI.
Their main function is to act as a "shop" selling items I designed. Frieda, as a chemist, sells items useful for daily life and adventure, while Danilo, the underwear thief, sells underwear from characters in my other mods.
Many of Frieda’s fixed goods are items like Sulfur and Acidproof Liquid that I personally found tedious to repeatedly shop-reset for. It also includes new items born from convenience, like "Citric Acid" (created because farming for "Sugar (5 Magic)" from the butcher was a hassle) and "Lockpick Lubricant" (created because swapping into a full lockpick set was bothersome).
Beyond being a shopkeeper, this character also has combat capabilities. She is a Dexterity-based Bow/Poison attacker. Her skills can occasionally trigger acid-based attacks that corrode enemy equipment, reducing its sell value by a few dozen Oren. If you wish to use that equipment yourself, you’ll need to buy Whetstones from her… This is an intentional design choice (laughs).
Regarding character personality: Initially, when designing Ayane, I delved into themes of justice and race, and I planned to shape Frieda as Ayane’s opposite—someone who killed her own humanity for a lofty ideal, becoming cold, efficient, and fearsome… However, I later felt this could be problematic, so I removed those elements and softened her personality considerably, shaping her into a more merchant-like character.
Danilo’s goods are underwear from characters in my other mods. They can be purchased even if you don’t have those mods installed. As for their stats, as usual, I’m showing favoritism towards the rabbit characters… The basic idea is high stats for them. There are also characters like Flonne and Sakuya that I haven’t created yet, but I plan to update with them later. If I add new characters in the future, I’ll likely also add their underwear to Danilo’s inventory.
Anyway, besides underwear, Danilo also sells random goods as an item merchant, like Fireproof Blankets and Empty Bottles, so occasionally checking his shop shouldn’t be a loss… probably.
As for Danilo himself—his dialogue, character art, and combat abilities—I’ve intentionally left them completely undesigned to emphasize his nature as an "ordinary Juere." Although his personality is somewhat fleshed out in the item descriptions. Since you’re buying underwear, the descriptions contain quite a few suggestive jokes reflecting my personal taste. While I personally don’t think there’s anything offensive, if any content makes you uncomfortable, please leave feedback in the comments. If I find the reasoning sound, I will make adjustments.
