Description:
Introduction

Historically, infant and child mortality rates in the Middle Ages were extremely high compared to modern times. Many heirs died from disease before reaching adulthood. However, in Crusader Kings III, childhood is generally portrayed as relatively safe.

This mod aims to reflect that historical reality by making childhood more dangerous and uncertain.

Key Features

■ Age-based Health Modifier

All children receive a health penalty at birth.

This penalty gradually decreases each year on their birthday and is completely removed at age 12.

■ Disease System

All children have a yearly chance to contract diseases (Ill, Pneumonia, Consumption).

The younger the child, the higher the chance of falling ill. This risk can be reduced through:

  • Hiring a Wet Nurse (age 2 or below)
  • The Learning lifestyle perk Wash Your Hands
