Dynamic Control Zones PLUS adds Territory control that actually keeps up with the battle. This mod divides the map into a live grid of control zones, updated every few seconds based on which faction has boots on the ground, no editor setup required, no scripts to paste.
As it’s pretty difficult to show what your settings and visuals could look like I reccomend anyone interested, to try the mod in-game and tweak the settings to their liking.
- Automatic grid-based territory map, cell size scales from 50m (Fine) through 100m (Tactical) and 200m (Operational) up to 500m (Strategic), default 100m
- BLUFOR, OPFOR, Independent, and Contested zone colouring updates live as units move
- Frontline markers drawn at contact cells as a CUSTOM grid style, visually distinct from held territory
- Intel Required mode – zones only register when your side has spotted the enemy (uses side-wide group awareness, not just local player)
- Fade Held and Vacant Zones – zones fade out gradually when left empty instead of popping out instantly (toggle-able)
- Mid-session enable/disable toggle, disabling hides all markers immediately, re-enabling picks up where it left off
- 11 marker brush options for both zone and frontline markers, including the custom ‘DiagCross’ brush
- Per-side colour toolbox for BLUFOR, OPFOR, Independent, and Contested zones
- All markers are client-local, zero marker data is broadcast over the network
- Update loop only iterates cells with units present, cost scales with unit count not map size
- Full CBA_A3 Settings panel covering general, display, and debug options
Q: Is this Client side?
A: Yes. All markers are client-local and no zone data is ever sent over the network.
Q: Is this Multiplayer compatible?
A: Yes. Each client runs its own local copy of the grid.
Q: Does it work on modded or custom maps?
A: Yes. The grid is generated dynamically from map bounds, so it works on any terrain regardless of size or origin.
Q: Does it work with modded factions, CDLC’s, etc?
A: Yes, as long as units are assigned to BLUFOR, OPFOR, or Independent sides they will be picked up by the ownership check.
Q: Can I change the cell size mid-mission?
A: No. Grid size is applied at mission start. Changing it mid-session has no effect until the mission is restarted.
