What is this mod?

LWOTC Ghost Operative is a Long War of the Chosen port of [WOTC] Ghost Operative Class, a custom soldier class mod inspired by the Ghost Operative from StarCraft.

The Ghost Operative is an infiltration-focused class that blends optical cloaking, precision marksmanship, and devastating psionic powers. This is far more than just a sniper with a few flashy tricks; the core of the class lies in the strategic management of its naturally regenerating Psionic Energy throughout the heat of combat.

Instead of relying on raw brute force, this class demands tactical decision-making: knowing exactly when to maintain a cloak, when to conserve energy, and when to commit your limited resources to specialized shots or potent psionic abilities.

About the Class

The Ghost Operative utilizes a Vektor Rifle as its primary weapon and a Psi Amp as its secondary weapon.

The playstyle is anchored by three main pillars:

1. Sustained Infiltration: Allows the Ghost to secure advantageous positions and engage targets without revealing their location.

2. Precision Tactical Firepower: A suite of specialized munitions, including Lockdown, EMP Round, Armor Piercing Round, and Explosive Round, allows for flexible responses to different enemies and battlefield conditions.

3. Battlefield Control: High-impact abilities like Psionic Interference, Execution Field, and Nuclear Strike can disrupt enemy operations and turn the tide of battle at a decisive moment.

Success with this class is defined by resource efficiency. You must decide whether to spend Psionic Energy to remain invisible, allocate it to special ammunition, or save it to sustain powerful psionic effects over time. Proper resource management is the true heart of this operative.

Ghost Training: Focuses on enhancing cloaking and precision fire, featuring Cloak, Steady Targeting, and Ocular Implants. Bullet Module: Centers on specialized munitions and tactical ballistics, featuring Lockdown, EMP Round, Armor-Piercing Round, and Explosive Round. Psionic: Expands energy management and anti-psionic utility via Psionic Reserve, Mobius Reactor, and Psionic Interference. XCOM: A general tactical and support tree that improves survivability, mobility, and follow-up actions.

Requirements

You must subscribe to all required items listed in the workshop dependencies.
This mod requires the War of the Chosen expansion and is intended for use with Long War of the Chosen.

Important Notes

This class is configured to be fairly powerful by default.
If needed, virtually all values can be adjusted via the .ini files in the Config folder.

I have tested this mod as thoroughly as possible on the technical side, but unintended bugs or edge cases may still exist. If you encounter any issues, please report them in the comments.

This mod was ported for LWOTC, but I have not been able to properly test it in an actual LWOTC playthrough yet. If you run into any problems, balance issues, or unintended interactions, please let me know in the comments.

  • Cooldowns, resource costs, action points, and range values
  • Psionic Interference upkeep and disruption values

  • Damage values for special shots and nuclear abilities
